Sand Dollar Sugar Cookies
Makes 3 doz. Using 1 ½” scoop
Ingredients
½ c. Real Butter
¼ c. Crisco® Stick
1 c. Granulated sugar
2 Farm fresh eggs
1 t. Real Vanilla extract
2 ½ c. K. A. unbleached flour
1 t. Baking Powder
½ t. Salt
Instructions
Place butter, Crisco® and sugar in bowl of mixer with paddle attachment. Mix until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well, stir in vanilla. Measure dry ingredients onto wax paper. Stir with a fork to distribute baking powder and salt into the flour. Pour the flour into the mixing bowl and mix on low speed until incorporated. Scoop dough with 1 ½” cookie scoop onto baking sheet. Smash cookie slightly with glass or cup dipped in sugar. You may use white or colored sugar and sprinkles to decorate. Bake 6 to 8 minutes @ 350° until lightly golden around the edges. Do not overbake. Over baked cookies will be hard and crispy.
