Goulash is a hearty dish made quickly in one pan. This variety is Hungarian style with a few of my own adaptations, They consider it a stew and other vegetables such as summer squash and beans can be added to the pot. In Hungarian, Goulash translates to Cowboy.

1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
1 small Onion chopped
1 c. Sweet Pepper chopped
1 Jalapeño chopped fine (optional)
2 cloves Garlic minced
1 1⁄2 c. Water
14 1⁄2 oz. Tomato sauce
14 1⁄2 oz. Diced Tomatoes
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 T Cavender’s Greek Seasoning
5 oz. Elbow macaroni, uncooked

Place beef, onions, peppers, and garlic in large iron skillet. Cook on medium heat until ground beef is no longer pink. Add water, tomatoes, and seasoning. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally for 10 minutes. Add macaroni and return to boil. Cover with foil or lid and place in 350° oven for 30 min. or until macaroni is tender.
